As Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of PEG, LLC, Matthew Cooper has played an integral role in the company’s evolution and success since its inception. With over 30 years of experience in evaluating, designing, and managing the built environment, Matthew has helped position PEG as a national leader in engineering, energy consulting, and environmental services.
He oversees operations across PEG’s network of more than 200 associates, guiding the firm’s ability to adapt, innovate, and deliver high-performance solutions. His expertise spans a wide range of disciplines, including building performance diagnostics, code compliance, test and balance, mechanical system design and commissioning, industrial hygiene, hazardous substance assessment and abatement, collective protection systems, energy recovery and demand-side performance, and energy management systems analysis, design and commissioning.
Matthew holds numerous professional certifications and credentials, including LEED Accredited Professional (US Green Building Council), National Green Building Standard Verifier (National Association of Home Builders), Certified Indoor Environmentalist (Indoor Air Quality Association), Certified Supervisor (National Environmental Balancing Bureau) in the disciplines of air and hydronic balance, and Air Filtration Certification (National Air Filtration Association).
A graduate of the University of Maryland and the U.S. Air Force College of Applied Aerospace Sciences, Matthew also completed postgraduate studies in Quality Systems Management at the National Graduate School. His leadership continues to drive PEG’s reputation for excellence in sustainable design, compliance, and performance across 27 states.
